Strøget one of the Europe’s longest shopping streets offers you everything you can wish for on your shopping tour. You will find all the shops from Louis Vuitton and Prada to H&M and Vero Moda. Along the street you have also the opportunity to visit two big department stores Illum and Magasin du Nord. In case you love handmade china you have the prestige Royal Copenhagen flagship store on Strøget as well. Here you can find everything to make your everyday dinner table look special all the way to china that you would be proud to serve dinner even for the queen. Danish design is world known so there has been left space also for the smaller designer shops along Strøget. But if you just step on the smaller side streets you have endless amount of small special shops serving every taste you can imagine.
The street is not limited only for shopping you will find many cafés and restaurants where you can take a break during your tour. Stop for a coffee at Café Europa, taste delicious strawberry pie at Café Norden or get up to the roof top terrace of Illum for a glass of bubbles.
When you get hungry our recommendation would be traditional smørrebrød at the historical restaurant Skindbuksen or go and taste something completely new called Smushi at the Royal Smushi Café. This is a Danish invention where they put together sushi and smørrebrød and named is Smushi.
In case of a rainy day Copenhagen also offers 2 big shopping malls Field’s and Fisketorvet and the new Emporia mall in Malmö, Sweden is only 30 minutes away with a train.
